To whom it may concern:
On five separate occasions, I have hired Israel Ben Arie as the guide for my group.  I consider him to be the best tour guide that I have ever used.  Israel is extremely knowledgeable in the literature of the Hebrew Bible and the New Testament, and he has an amazing sense of humor – people find themselves laughing and learning at the same time.  This, coupled with the fact that he has a degree in archaeology, gives him a unique perspective from which to share.  I should also mention that Israel speaks several languages; most notably are Hebrew, Russian, and English.  I recommend Israel without reservation.  Please contact me at This email address is being protected from spambots. Israel Ben Arie is a delightful, cheerful and intelligent tour guide. I have a cumulate spent 2 months with Israel, in ISRAEL and he has led our group on three private tours to Shiloh, Mt. Gerizim, Mt. Ebal, Shechem (Nablus), Tel Balata, Joseph’s tomb and Jacob’s well. Need I say more? Ok, then here is more! He has a charming, playful demeanor and will leave you in laughter with his sharp sense of humor. Not only is he fully informed with current Israeli politics and social issues, he is a master of history who connects the present and the past with the Bible. So what you get with Israel, is the full package. I highly recommend him to anyone as the best guide in the Shiloh/Shechem area on earth. You will not be disappointed!

On 17 October 2011 a group of six pilgrims from South Africa came to Jerusalem for Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles), and took the ancient route through Ephraim hill-country (known as Israeli heartland) to the small village of Shiloh.

Israel Ben Arie is the tour guide that took us on a sight seeing walk at Shiloh. After his work that day, he was so kind to transport us up the hill with his own vehicle to get back to the terminal in time for the bus!

Apart from that, Israel did an excellent job of showing us the site where the Tabernacle was erected and backed up facts with pictures and recent archeological finds. We saw a display of Israeli jars confirming that the area was once the site of a huge storage of grain and food in times of ancient Mishkan. We want to thank Israel Ben Arie for also emailing us the beautiful photos of the ancient vessels!

Shiloh was definitely one of the highlights of our tour and we recommend Israel Ben Arie as a tour guide and the site of Shiloh to all serious Biblical scholars.

Dear Israel,

We, were in Israel during Sukkot and you were

our tour guide at the archeological sites at Jerusalem-Yerushalaim.

Thank you again for your kindness and unique tour that day. May the God richly bless you, your house and family. We really enjoyed the trip and I also wrote a long report with photos of it all. The Temple mount was definitely a highlight.

Shabbat Shalom!
